Brief: To create a basketball project which unites key regional and local organisations in a common purpose, both broadening the existing provision of basketball training in schools and creating additional activities where possible. The brief included identifying funding for the project, sourcing new partners and creating a management steering group to represent all interests.

Method: Oaks arranged key meetings with local, regional and national stakeholders in order to define:

• The detail and scope of the activity
• The level of funding available from all partners
• The schedule of activity
• The ongoing sustainability of the project

Once these parameters had been established, we created a detailed project plan, which the Big Storage Cheshire Jets subsequently approved.

Result: Oaks delivered ample funding to deliver the project for 2 years
