David Ross Education Trust.
The David Ross Education Trust consists of 34 primary and secondary schools across the UK, ranging from small rural primaries to much larger secondary schools in the centre of urban areas. Oaks were commissioned by the Trust to undertake a review of their income generation activity to date and develop a strategy articulating how they could realise their potential in several income generation areas. Upon completion, we supported DRET to implement several of the recommendations. Over a period of 18 months, we carried out condition appraisals of their facilities and a review of staffing structures, processes, and systems. We also analysed the financial performance and facility utilisation of each academy. We undertook a competitor analysis and benchmarking and provided recommendations which included both internal operational improvements and outsourcing the lettings management of four sites. We were further engaged by the Trust to manage the whole end-to-end commercial engagement and Tender process for the four recommended academies.
