What is your role at Oaks?
In addition to a general business building role, I head up the strategy development programme. This involves the creation and implementation of sports development, commercial and business development strategies for sports and leisure organisations. In addition I also carry out feasibility studies for major new sports facility projects.
How would you summarise your career and experience to date?
I have 24 years experience in the development of all aspects of sports development and sports business. Working at a senior board level within sports National Governing Bodies and commercial sports teams, I have built expertise in sports development, business development, commercialisation of sports organisations, corporate governance and direction of national and international change management programmes.

What do you think is the biggest challenge facing the world of sport in the next 5 years?
Maintaining momentum and interest levels post 2012. If sport gets it right 2013 onwards should be the most vibrant time in British sporting history.
What is your favourite sporting moment?
Watching Kenny Dalgleish score the winning goal against Bruges in the European Cup Final - it was my first trip to Wembley and a totally awe-inspiring occasion.
What is your personal greatest sporting achievement?
Beating Mark at cricket in the back garden, beating Mark at polo ball rolling on the driveway, beating Mark in a downhill ski race, beating Mark in our Boxing day golf game and generally anything else where I can beat Mark!
If you get any free time, how do you like to use it?
Beating Mark at anything!
