The David Ross Education Trust works with 34 primary and secondary schools across the UK, ranging from small rural primaries to much larger secondary schools in the centre of urban areas. In 2019, we worked with the Trust to carry out a review of their community lettings programme.
Over a period of 18 months, we carried out condition appraisals of their facilities and a review of staffing structures, processes, and systems. We also analysed the financial performance and facility utilisation of each academy. We undertook a competitor analysis and benchmarking, and provided recommendations which included both internal improvements and outsourcing the lettings management of four sites. We were further engaged by the Trust to manage the whole end-to-end commercial engagement and tender process for the four recommended academies. This created additional income to the Trust of £250k over a three-year period.
