Commonwealth Games England.
In 2020, Commonwealth Games England (CGE) appointed Oaks to lead an independent review and develop a strategic plan for the proposed launch of a new, related charitable entity. The Team England Trust will coordinate and invest in a range of national and international sport programmes, with a focus on athlete wellbeing, youth development, and uniting the people of the Commonwealth. We undertook a comprehensive review of the proposed activities and identified an appropriate company and governance structure for the new entity, assessing fundraising, risk and control factors amongst others. With an agreed structure, we led the development of a ten-year strategic plan for the Team England Trust and built a supporting target operating model to implement the plan through to 2030. Subsequently, we have since managed the formal application the Charity Commission for the registration of the new entity and support the CGE team with launch planning ahead of Birmingham 2022.
